Author:

Book, Help! I’m being bullied was published by Accent Press September 2006.

Written for families, this is an easy read on The Lovegrove Approach with practical information and exercises for familes (or schools) to practice on. It is available from bookshops and from www.amazon.com

Teaching materials (including PowerPoint presentation, teaching notes and photocopiable handouts for pupils) are in development. They will make it clear that although we now accept that psychological bullying is as damaging as physical we do need different strategies to deal with it. The Lovegrove Approach delivers those strategies.

Public Speaking: Conferences, workshops, INSET days on bullying & performance anxiety.

"I expected this to be just another INSET day where most of us wish we'd just done some thing useful rather than listen to some so-called expert but this was brilliant. We learnt such a lot and the day flew by. My staff were so enthusiastic they had put most of the measures into place by the next day." (School INSET 2008)

"Emily's workshop on performance anxiety was the highlight of our music course"(August 09)

"What a brilliant day we had with you! You informed us and made us laugh in equal measure!" (Staff INSET day, 2007)

"Thanks Emily - the delegates at our conference really loved your lively input." (International conference, USA 2006)

"What a day! When can you come back?" (Training day on confrontation in the workplace, London 2006)

"Emily was cool and she really understands about bullying." (Workshop with teenagers, Seattle 2006)

"As parents we feel so much more able to help our children with bullying issues after your session with us - thank you so much!" (Workshop with parents, Wales 2007)

"I could have listened to her all day!" (Welsh Assembly workshop for professionals, 2009)

The Bullying Doctor

Help! I'm being bullied...

Written for families this is an easy read on The Lovegrove Approach with practical information and exercises for practice. Published by Accent Press at £7.99, available from bookshops and www.amazon.com

Julia Donaldson, author of Gruffalo books: "This book sets out a positive and refreshing approach to bullying which really makes sense to children, parents and teachers. I wish it had been around when my own children were at school."

Gervase Phinn, author and broadcaster: Emily, in her clearly written and powerfully persuasive book, considers the causes of bullying and offers so much practical and useful advice for parents and all those who work with children. She stresses that no one deserves to be bullied, that those who are subjected to bullying should realise it is not their fault. Her message is clear: bullying should never be tolerated or ignored because it won’t go away – it must be tackled. This splendid handbook should be on the shelf of every parent and teacher.
